Stirred by French Gardenscapes, I have added to my collection of one-of-a kind totes.  Last spring, an infusion of vibrant kimono silks inspired me to make madcap petals, tuck in birdhouses amidst screen-printed leaves.  Each bag in this limited-edition series is a distinctive composition of color and stitched lines.  GNU bags are made with linen and cotton with a faux suede bottom.  Interior lining made with hand dyed and printed cotton.

Also available are new additions to an earlier collection of GNU bags that are inspired by Val de Loire, France. The fabric design process for these bags begins with laying down broad overlapping color fields of ink onto cloth.  I respond to each color composition with line drawings of garden chairs and ancient roofs and windows.
